You asked. We answered.
Like your EHR, payroll software, or billing system, DeepScribe is typically adopted organization-wide. This top down approach helps establish best practices, improve provider satisfaction, maximize patient capacity, and recognize coding benefits from more complete documentation. We encourage you to talk to your colleagues and organizational decision makers about DeepScribe and to request a consultation to see how we can best move forward.
We recognize how important cost is when evaluating new technologies. Pricing is dependent on multiple variables, such as practice size, medical specialty, and EHR integration. To receive an accurate quote based on the unique needs of your organization, please schedule a consultation with a member of our team here.
Currently, DeepScribe is only available for providers who live and practice in the United States.
New users can start using DeepScribe as quickly as within 1 business day. However, onboarding timelines range depending on practice size, template complexity, and EHR integrations. On average, new users are completely onboarded within 7 business days of sign-up.
DeepScribe provides ongoing support for current customers. Our customer support team is available through phone, email, or HIPAA-compliant chat support during traditional business hours 8am-8pm ET, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Each of our integrations is slightly different. Generally, DeepScribe will synthesize the information discussed during the patient visit, format it into a standard SOAP note, then integrate those findings back into the preferred fields of your EHR. For more information about how DeepScribe integrates with your EHR, reach out to us.
DeepScribe can provide recommended ICD-10 codes based on the content of the encounter but does not automatically submit those codes for billing and reimbursement.
Yes! DeepScribe supports a custom template builder tool that allows you to customize how your notes appear in final form. For more information about our template builder and how we write notes to your preferences, reach out to us for a video consultation.
Currently, DeepScribe’s AI models are trained on General American English. If you or your patient population is ESL or LEP, you may be able to leverage DeepScribe through a translator or with post-visit summaries.
Note turnaround time is very fast, but exact turnaround time depends on the length of the recording. Request to talk with our team and discuss with them your average encounter length.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the branch of computer science that focuses on completing tasks in a human-like manner. DeepScribe uses AI to synthesize conversations between clinicians and patients and convert them into complete medical notes.
Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a subsystem of artificial intelligence that is capable of analyzing and understanding human conversations as they happen. NLP takes natural human language and converts it into data that computers can understand. Popular examples of NLP include Siri, Alexa, and, more recently, ChatGPT. DeepScribe uses proprietary NLP to make sense of the conversation between clinician and patient and convert it into structured data that can be reformatted into a standard medical note.
Machine learning (ML) is a subsystem of AI that is focused on improving performance of certain tasks. Just as humans learn from experiences and mistakes and get smarter over time, AI is the same way. By ingesting data, AI models can use machine learning to improve. The more data that passes through a Machine Learning system, the more accurate and predictive that AI gets. DeepScribe ingests hundreds of millions of clinical data points that are meticulously used to improve the accuracy and reliability of our solution.

DeepScribe is a cloud-based solution, meaning it relies on connection to the internet to function properly. That being said, users have the ability to record encounters while offline then submit those recordings to be scribed once they reconnect to the internet or cellular network. Strong WiFi is recommended for optimal use (1mbps upload speed, at minimum).
DeepScribe’s practitioner app requires iOS14+ and is compatible with iPhone 6s (and newer), iPad Air 2 (and newer), and iPod touch 7th gen. DeepScribe’s dictation feature requires Apple’s A9 chip and the DeepScribe portal is accessible through any computer with internet connection.
While encounters must be recorded through an iOS device, DeepScribe’s web portal can be accessed on any device with internet connection (including Windows). Here, you can manage recordings, read and edit transcripts, edit notes, and sync notes to your EHR.
